Paint Correction in Brampton & GTA

Swirl marks. Water spots. Dull, lifeless paint. One session with A1 Auto Spa and none of that exists anymore. Professional machine polishing that removes defects from the clear coat and restores your paint to the finish it had the day it left the factory — or better.

What Is Paint Correction?

Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects from a vehicle's clear coat using a machine polisher and a series of cutting and polishing compounds. Defects like swirl marks (caused by improper washing), water spots, light scratches, and oxidation are safely removed — revealing the true depth and gloss of the paint underneath.

One-Step vs. Two-Step Paint Correction

We offer two levels of correction depending on your paint's condition:

One-Step Correction

  • Removes 30–70% of paint defects
  • Eliminates light swirl marks & water spots
  • Noticeably improved gloss and clarity
  • Ideal for newer vehicles or mild paint damage
  • Good prep for wax or ceramic coating

When Do You Need Paint Correction?

  • Your paint looks dull, hazy, or has lost its original gloss
  • You can see swirl marks or spiderwebbing in direct sunlight
  • Water spots have etched into the clear coat from hard water or rain
  • You're preparing for ceramic coating — correction must come first
  • You bought a used vehicle and want to restore the paint
  • Seasonal paint restoration after an Ontario winter

Paint Correction FAQ

Can paint correction remove all scratches?

Paint correction removes defects in the clear coat layer — swirl marks, light scratches, and water spots. Deep scratches that have gone through the clear coat into the colour or primer layer cannot be corrected by polishing and require a different repair process. We'll assess your paint during the booking process and let you know what's achievable.

How long does paint correction take?

A one-step correction typically takes 4–6 hours. A two-step correction on a full vehicle takes a full day (6–10 hours) depending on vehicle size and paint condition. We book paint correction as a dedicated appointment.

Will paint correction damage my car?

Not when done correctly. Professional paint correction removes a very small amount of clear coat — typically a fraction of a micron per pass. When performed by a trained technician with proper products and techniques, it is safe and leaves significantly more clear coat than when you started with defects.

Should I get ceramic coating after paint correction?

Yes — this is the ideal combination. Paint correction first removes all defects, then ceramic coating seals and protects the corrected surface for years. Getting coating without correction locks in the swirls and defects under the coating permanently.
